Here’s How Much Snow Maine & New Hampshire Will Get Thursday
It was a nice break, wasn't it? Of course I'm talking about the break in the back to back winter storms that were slamming the northeast region over the last few weeks.
It seemed like every time I even thought about taking the old Fisher plow off the truck there was another storm coming the very next day. It has been great, however, for people that make a good living from excess snowfall.
From those that plow commercial lots, shovel driveways or rake roofs, there has certainly been no shortage of business for those folks. And if you get into the recreational side of things, those that love skiing, snowmobiling and snow shoeing have had their fair share of snow this season.
And while the last couple of weeks have been quiet as far as weather goes, winter here in Maine and beyond is certainly far from over. WGME 13 is currently tracking two different storms that are likely to impact Maine this week with the first one coming Thursday morning.
According to WGME 13, the snow is going to move across the state early on Thursday morning and will definitely impact the morning commute. While it looks early on like most school will still be in, maybe with a delay, it's still a little too early to tell how much of a travel impact this storm will bring.
Western Maine is likely to get the most snow with up to 3" of snow on Thursday while south and central regions are likely to get much less, closer to 2" or less. However, there's still more snow on the horizon for the weekend.
Saturday's storm, if it stays on track, shouldn't bring a ton of accumulation, though it could still make a mess for the area. We will keep watching this one and let you know more as it gets a little closer to the weekend.
