According to WABI TV 5, James Ahern of Greenfield, Maine was arrested Saturday night after driving the wrong way on the highway not once, but twice.

Maine State Police received a call at around 8PM that there was a driver going the wrong way on Interstate 95 near Houlton. Ahern was travelling southbound in the northbound lanes. He was pulled over and issues a summons for driving to endanger, after which he was released from the traffic stop.

About an hour later, Maine State Police received another report of a vehicle travelling the wrong was on the highway. This time, Ahern was driving northbound in the southbound lanes near Medway. Troopers attempted to stop Ahern again, but this time he continued driving until his vehicles ran out of gas near Sherman.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Aroostook County Jail. Ahern has been charged with two counts of driving to endanger, operating under the influence, operating the wrong way on a divided highway and reckless conduct.
