A Waterville, Maine man, who just recently served a nearly five year prison sentence for drug trafficking, has been arrested yet again on similar charges, according to the Kennebec Journal.

The newspaper goes on to explain in their reporting that police officers executed a search warrant at an apartment at 11 College Avenue in Waterville on Monday. During the execution of the warrant, officers say that they found crack cocaine and fentanyl inside.

Waterville Police, along with help from the Somerset County Sheriff's Office, then proceeded to take 37-year-old Waterville resident, Jonathan Petgrave, into custody. Petgrave was subsequently charged with two counts of Class A aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, according to Maj. Jason Longley of the Waterville Police Department, the KJ reported.

Petgrave's current bail is set at $50,000 in cash. And, because of his prior convictions in drug trafficking, Petgrave's charges in the current case have been elevated to Class A crimes, the newspaper stated.

Police said following the arrest of Jonathan Petgrave, that they were able to seize 33 grams of cocaine base as well as 6 grams in suspected fentanyl. The police also went on to point out that Petgrave's apartment is right next to the Waterville Fire Department.

At last check, Jonathan Petgrave is still being held in Augusta at the Kennebec County Jail. This is a developing story that we will keep updated as more information becomes available to us.

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
