Maine Man Under The Influence Flips ATV In Parking Lot Then Pees in a Police Car
According to WGME 13, a Maine man is in custody following an interesting series of events that unfolded Monday afternoon in Northern Maine.
WGME says that police in Millinocket, Maine received a 911 call at about 4 PM Monday with the caller saying that a man who appeared to be under the influence had rolled his ATV over in the parking lot of an area convenience store. Following the ATV crash, the subject then appeared to get into some kind of altercation with another person at the store.
Police quickly responded to the store on Central Street in Millinocket but the suspect had fled the scene on the ATV that he had previously flipped over. Police began searching the area and were quickly able to spot the man driving the ATV in a reckless manner and at a high rate of speed, still on Central Street.
The officer attempted to stop the suspect but he fled again. The officer was able to track the man back to an area apartment building where he was found hiding in the back of the building. Police were finally able to take the suspect into custody after became belligerent with officers and initially resisted arrest.
Officials identified the man as 40-year-old, Derrick Sirois, of Millinocket. After police placed him under arrest and placed him in the back of the police cruiser, he allegedly began to urinate on himself and the inside of the police vehicle.
WGME reported that Sirois was charged with operating under the influence, eluding an officer, operating after suspension, failure to submit to arrest, criminal threatening, and criminal mischief. WGME also went on to report that the suspect did in fact have an open warrant for his arrest for failing to appear on an earlier criminal charge.
