According to WalletHub, millennials have huge purchasing power and higher education attainment but are economically worse off than their parents. One estimate stated millennials today earn approximately 20% less than Baby Boomers when they were young adults.

So where are millennials best off and worst off? Unfortunately, Maine doesn't rank high compared to the rest of the country.

WalletHub compared all 50 sates and the District of Columbia looking at things like millennial unemployment, voter-turnout, earnings, and homeownership rate.

Overall, Maine placed #34 out of 51.
