Maine PUC Releases Video Statement About Electric Bill Increases

As someone who has a close family member that works for the Maine Public Utilities Commission, I can tell you that they have been inundated with phone calls, messages and emails regarding an obvious increase in Maine electric bills.

There has also been a fair amount of confusion regarding the different portions of the overall electric bill. Maine residents will see a 'supply' portion and a 'delivery' portion. Mainers are able to decide who supplies the electricity to their homes.

Susan Faloon, of the Maine Public Utilities Commission, recently released a video on the Commission's official Facebook Page, where she explains where the increase in rate is and why the PUC felt there was a need for an increase.
