We all understand that when our pets pass away, it feels like losing a member of the family. We love them deeply and unconditionally, and when they’re gone, an undeniable emptiness takes their place.

Most of us have experienced this heartache.

What makes it even harder is the silence that follows the absence of the sounds they once made, the familiar spots they used to claim, and the warmth of their presence. The house feels different without them.

Have you been visited by your departed pet?

Recently a post was published on a paranormal Facebook page, Unexplained Maine that has captured attention of everyone that has ever had to say goodbye to their pet.

The post talks about the loss of their family dog, Rooney who passed away after 17 years of love. The grieving owner, who now has a 3-year-old dog mourning alongside them, decided to install a camera with a treat dispenser to monitor their new pup’s behavior.

But they were surprised when a strange and emotional image showed up in their security camera notifications. The photo shows a figure that some may believe to be the dog that had passed.

There is no physical explanation for this anomaly and the only reasonable speculation is that it’s their dearly departed dog.

"I have not paid a subscription yet for playback so i only have a screen shot, but do you think this is sweet Rooney visiting or dust?"

The image brings comfort to the owner, who wonders if it is in fact their pup coming back one last time to say “I love you” or simply dust. Whatever it is, the post hits home to a lot of folks that have lost pets and have similar stories.
