When I was little, I was obsessed with reptiles. Like, “future herpetologist” level obsessed. One day, I decided to take things next level and performed an autopsy on a snake.

Yeah, I know, it’s weird but let me explain. We were learning about reptiles in school, and I had borrowed this snake book from the library.

It was all about snake anatomy and so naturally, I thought, "What better time to dissect?" Spoiler alert: I didn’t become a vet, but I did learn that snakes don’t really love being used as practice for med school.

Now, every time I see a snake, I bow my head, look away and hope they don't remember who I am.
