Maine’s Travis Mills Foundation Set to Host Immersive ‘Trauma Training’ in February

According to a press release from the foundation, Travis Mills is excited to announce a two-day Direct Action Response Training course by Dark Angel Medical, a veteran-owned company specializing in trauma care.
Open to the public, this essential training will take place on February 15–16, 2025, at the foundation's campus located at 1002 Watson Pond Road, Rome, Maine. Participants will gain valuable skills in managing trauma situations effectively.

The Direct Action Response Training course runs from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM on February 15–16, 2025, at the Travis Mills Foundation campus. Designed for all experience levels—whether you're a first responder, outdoor enthusiast, or have no medical background, this hands-on program teaches essential trauma care skills. Participants will learn how to act decisively in critical moments, ensuring they can be "doers" rather than bystanders when every second matters.
Darn Angel Medical, a veteran-owned business specializing in trauma kits and medical education, brings expert knowledge to the Direct Action Response Training. Their team of instructors, with experience in both pre-hospital and emergency care, ensures participants are well-prepared to manage high-stress, life-threatening situations with confidence. This course offers valuable, real-world insights that equip attendees with critical trauma care skills.

Dark Angel Medical is a veteran-owned business that specializes in trauma care education, first aid kits, and medical products. Their mission is to educate and equip individuals with life-saving skills, ensuring they are prepared to act in emergencies. The company’s expertise focuses on trauma care and the importance of being ready to respond effectively in critical situations.
Participants in the Direct Action Response Training will receive certification in B-CON (Basic and Controlled Emergency Operations) through the American College of Surgeons. Additionally, they will earn 16 hours of continuing education units (CEUs), which are applicable for NREMT EMT-Basics/Advanced and Paramedics. This certification helps ensure that participants are equipped with both the knowledge and credentials to respond effectively in emergency situations.
