Maine Woman Sues GM Over Heated Seats
Emma Verril, a woman from Maine who now lives in Texas, is suing General Motors (GM) because she claims the rear heated seats in her SUV gave her third degree burns.
Verril says GM didn’t do enough testing in her Suburban to see if the seats were too hot. Verril is quoted as saying about the seats, "dangerously high temperatures that would burn human flesh."
Verril is paralyzed from the waist down and didn’t know she was getting the burns. GM denies Verril’s accusations.
