An elderly man from New Hampshire has been hospitalized following an apparent hunting accident that happened over the long Memorial Day weekend.

According to WGME 13, the 77-year-old man was hunting with a friend in Goffstown, New Hampshire on Sunday when the incident occurred. The news station is reporting that the man suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

While it's still not being reported where the gunshot came from, the man was successfully able to walk himself out of the woods and drive to help at Manchester's Catholic Medical Center.

Upon his arrival, medical staff notified law enforcement about the gunshot injury. At this time, as the incident is still under investigation, the names of those involved is currently being withheld.
