New Mentoring Program in Waterville Looking for Adult Mentors [Audio]

Denise Gianini is a sweetheart and she wants nothing but the best for the youth of central Maine. She talked with us this morning about a new program being run out of the Alfond Youth Center in Waterville. The initiative, called Reach and Rise, is very similar to Big Brothers/Big Sisters and, in fact, works with the group as it sets up mentors with local youth.

It's mission statement is, simply,

TO INSPIRE AND ENABLE ALL YOUNG PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES TO REALIZE THEIR FULL POTENTIAL AS HEALTHY, PRODUCTIVE, RESPONSIBLE AND CARING CITIZENS.TO INSPIRE AND ENABLE ALL YOUNG PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES TO REALIZE THEIR FULL POTENTIAL AS HEALTHY, PRODUCTIVE, RESPONSIBLE AND CARING CITIZENS.
