One Dead Following Early Morning Crash in Southern Maine
According to WMTW News 8, one person is dead following a Monday morning crash that happened in Saco, Maine.
WMTW reports that police were called to the scene of a crash at around 3:15 Monday morning on Ricker Road in Saco. Someone had called 911 minutes prior reporting that they heard a 'loud bang'.
Police arrived on scene to find that a Toyota Highlander had gone off the road and crashed into some nearby trees.
WMTW said that the driver was in fact the only person in the car at the time of the crash. The driver, who is currently unidentified, was reportedly heading south on Ricker Road when they lost control coming around a corner on a hill.
Police have not yet released a cause of the crash, but authorities are still investigating.
