Multiple people were inside a Winslow home on Tuesday when one of the rooms on the second floor caught fire. The responding address was 23 Boston Avenue, Winslow.

According to the Kennebec Journal, in addition to Winslow Fire, Waterville, Oakland and Fairfield Fire Departments responded to the blaze as well. Additionally, Delta Ambulance was called to the scene.

The fire was reported at about 11:30 at a home on Winslow's Boston Ave, which is just off of Clinton Ave. There were three people inside the house at the time and two were able to make a quick escape through the first floor.

However, the Kennebec Journal reports that a third person, who was apparently in the room that was on fire, had no choice but to jump from a second story window to escape the fire and smoke. That person was transported to Maine General's Thayer Campus for treatment. Their identity is currently unknown.

According to the Winslow Fire Department, the responding crews were able to make quick work of putting the fire out and keeping it contained to the second floor room. Officials say that the building is not being considered a total loss.
