
Pet Store Chain With Several Locations In Maine Announces Closing
It is always sad to see a local business close. Yes, this is true even for national chain businesses that have local stores. Those local stores employed people from our area and helped build the economies of the towns where they were located.
According to WGME, a pet supply store chain that has several locations in Maine has announced they have filed for bankruptcy and plan to close those locations.
The Loyal Companion, which has eight locations in the State of Maine, is in the process of liquidating product and plan to close their stores at the end of February.
A posting on the Loyal Companion website explains that they were in the process of a store closing sale and that most items are between 10% and 30% off. You can read more now HERE

The chain also announced that they will be continuing to do groomings through the middle of the month. A statement from the company explained that, if they are not able to accommodate your grooming session, they will reach out to let you know.
Loyal Companion has stores in Sanford, Saco, Scarborough, South Portland, Portland, Topsham, Lewiston, and North Windham.
