In what is an almost unbelievable story, WGME 13 is reporting that three men were allegedly hired by a Maine landlord to break into one of his own properties and threaten the female resident of the apartment.

According to the York County Sheriff's Office, an unidentified landlord allegedly hired the bikers to enter the apartment and threaten the lady over an unspecified dispute that had been ongoing.

Police say that they received a 911 call over the weekend from a terrified woman in Acton reporting that several men on motorcycles had arrived at her home and kicked in her door.

WGME reported that three men, 36-year-old Jessie Manchester of Sanford, 36-year-old Christopher Moreau of Shapleigh, and 33-year-old Harley Faires of Acton, were taken into custody. The three men were reportedly was charged with burglary and criminal threatening. Manchester, Moreau, and Faires were promptly taken to the York County Jail at which time their bail was set at $2,500 each. WGME is reporting Tuesday morning that all three have since been released.

Currently, the York County Sheriff's Department has not identified the landlord who allegedly hired the bikers, and it is not yet clear if that landlord will face any criminal charges in the matter.

This is a developing story and we will continue to keep it updated as more information becomes available to us.
