Popular Augusta Nightclub Closes

After 5 years in business, a popular downtown Augusta nightspot is closing its doors.

According to a Facebook message posted Thursday morning, tonight (Friday September 22nd) will be Shenanigans' last night of operation.  It will, however, be changing ownership in the next few weeks and re-opening.  It'll be interesting to see what the future brings for the venue.

The establishment, owned by bar / nightclub veteran Frank Berenyi, has been a staple of Central Maine nightlife since 2012.
