Hmm, smells like roadkill. Well, not exactly. I don't think! Did you hear about this supermarket in California that was selling racoon?

The LA County Health Department found racoon meat in the frozen foods section at the Metro Supermarket in Temple City. Employees showed the department entire raccoons, frozen and bagged. By the way it goes for $9.99 per pound.

The reason for the racoon is because of their wide Asian population and I guess racoon is considered a delicacy in China. It looks like selling the unusual meat may not be completely illegal, either. The store has stopped but is looking to get the practice reviewed and officially approved.
