It is cold and despite the warm up to double digits this week...it is still freakin' cold in Maine. We have even seen some records broken.

The National Weather Service to AP Portland experienced the coldest high temperature on three consecutive days, and temperatures are going to remain below freezing for another week to 10 days.

On Thursday, the temperature climbed to 8 degrees, breaking the old record for coldest high of 11 set in 1946; on Friday, it was 6 degrees, breaking the old record of 13 set in 1993; and on Saturday, it was 12, breaking the old record 13 in 1963.

The Bangor Daily News reported Bangor set a new record on New Year’s Eve,  of 24 degrees below zero at 4:03 a.m. Sunday at Bangor International Airport. UM... this is 8 degrees from previous Bangor record for Dec. 31 of -16 degrees in 2013.
