Maine School Bus With Children on Board Hit by 18-Wheeler Tuesday Morning

According to WMTW News 8, a student was taken, with non-life-threatening injuries, to Maine Medical Center in Portland following a crash involving an 18-wheeler and a Portland School bus.
The news station reports that a Portland school bus was stopped in the turn lane at the intersection of Washington and Allen Avenues just before 8 am on Tuesday morning. It was at that time that an 18-wheeler, approaching from behind, failed to stop and collided with the school bus.
Police said there were 15 students on the bus at the time of the crash.
The crash is still under investigation by the Portland Police Department and we will continue to keep this story updated as more information becomes available.
