Saving Change Day After Day Adds up! Guess How Much?
Last month we took a trip to Canada and while there picked up a plastic twenty dollar bill. For the past few weeks it was cool to show people but went to trade it along with a Canadian five in at the bank.
Since we were going to our credit union anyway we figured we'd trade in our coin that we always dump in a coffee jug. That stuff adds up. In the past month, since saving from mid July after pouring the change out in the money sorter thingy, the receipt said $44.15, that added with the $8.5 in rolls of pennies, nickels and dimes the end total was well over $50. That's just for putting you change from the day away in a coffee container.
What to do with that money? Well, maybe ice cream in Freeport as that is where we are headed today with my wife's family.
