Shaw’s Ends Their Rewards Card Program On June 28, 2013

Rewards cards, we all have a few or many. Or so many that even have cards to stores we don't even remember signing up. Almost every store has a rewards program of some kind or another.

One store canceling their program is Shaw’s. Of all of the cards I have and use, Shaw’s is probably the one I use the most. Sometimes Shaw’s would have “buy one get TWO free” sales on items, and many "buy one get one free" sales. Yes you need the card to get those specials but it was a great way to stock up and save.

The new concept is to just lower the prices I guess to better compete with Hannaford who said they’re dropping their food prices a week or so ago.

I am very divided because those cards or key tags are a pain but if I had to keep one it would be Shaws.
