Shooting in Jefferson Leaves One Injured, One Dead

A shooting in Jefferson last night (Aug. 15) has resulted in one person injured and another, who killed himself.

One woman was shot and wounded and a trooper chased a man they said was involved in the incident down Route 32. He later shot himself in his truck.

The Portland Press Herald is reporting that Shane Prior of Cushing was the man fleeing. The woman has been identified as Michelle Creamer, also from Cushing. She was taken to Miles Memorial Hospital for treatment.
