Should Wiscasset Firefighters be Allowed to Wash Their Personal Vehicles at the Fire Station?

There is an interesting debate going on in Wiscasset. Firefighters have been washing their personal vehicles at the fire station, something they say has been a long standing tradition. Town officials say it reflects a personal use of town equipment and that violates a town policy.

Now the issue will be decided by voters in November.

According to the Bangor Daily News, this week the Wiscasset Board of Selectmen voted 4-1 to bring the issue to a townwide vote, that will leave the decision up to residents.
