While the first half of the week will remain partly sunny and fairly mild, low pressure will slowly build developing into a storm system by Thursday morning.
According to NOAA, the precipitation will begin on Thursday morning as a mix of snow and rain, eventually becoming all rain by late morning with daytime highs around 42.
Later in the evening as the temperatures begin to drop, some parts of the state will see a shift back to snow and could see a 'plowable amount' by Friday morning.
Looking at the WABI snowfall map, it appears as though Central Maine could potentially see up to half a foot by Friday morning. The good news? It won't stick around long.
We will certainly keep you updated as details of the storm develop.
