There has been a recall for pine nuts in four ounce packages sold at Hannaford.  The nuts have a best by date of November 11, 2015. The recall is for potential salmonella contamination.

There is a recall on some packages of Nature's Place mixed nuts sold at Hannaford.

The photo above is my friend Angie. She's one of the reasons I enjoy going to China Hannaford or, as we call it locally, Chinaford. She agreed to pose while holding my favorite entrée from the deli, the rotisserie turkey breast. I'm not sure if they spin it on a skewer like they do those poor little chickens, but I'm sure it must be something similar.

According to a report, her name is Lou Ann Gedmint of South China and she allegedly walked out of the Elm Plaza Hannaford in Waterville the other night with $200 worth of groceries and refused to submit to police requests to stop as she went to her car. She drove off and was, eventually, tracked to her residence...

Two people were hurt and brought to area hospitals this afternoon (March 28) after an incident in Gardiner, ME. According to WMTW, two people were stabbed outside the Hannaford supermarket off of Bridge Street shortly before 3:30 p.m.

Much like an episode of the ABC hit 'reality' show 'Shark Tank,' Grace Montablo of Farmingdale is expanding the distribution of her 'Gracefully Clean' natural household cleaning products. The 'Gracefully Clean' line will be arriving to the shelves of the Hannaford Supermarkets on the Whitten Road in Augusta and at the Elm Plaza in Waterville.

Alright...I'm all wound up about Sandy's visit. I don't usually get THIS worked up before the in-laws come over...but they aren't a hurricane!
