Maureen had it going on this morning (Sept 5) with Jessica and Katherine on the Moose Morning Show. It's hard to be my typical, skeptical, self when stuff like this happens!

This is sort of a journal type post but this morning at about 4 am I woke up out of sound sleep and yelled loud enough to wake up Lynn, “I smell smoke!” It really scared me especially where we have three kids in the house.

When I went to efile my taxes last night, TurboTax told me that, because of something on the form, my Maine taxes had to be mailed. At 6pm, there's no post office in China open and I wasn't about to go to Augusta so I mailed them this morning....the 16h, not the 15th...

Okay...my week is done made. I was serenaded, personally, by the lovely Fiona (Shrek's love interest). I, like Shrek, am a nasty ogre. You NEED to see this show...on stage for 2 weekends at the Waterville Opera House. Listen as we talk with Dick Dyer about upcoming events and Kristen Thomas (Fiona) about Shrek...

The week had been crazy for our family. I had a medical scare and had just gotten some good news on Friday. Michelle has been studying and working non-stop getting ready for graduation next month from CMMC School of Nursing. We needed a daddy/daughter date night in a big way and we got it in the form of Spamalot at the Waterville Opera House.

It dawned on me during my drive home from work that we have been living in our new house now for six months today. We closed on June 29, 2012. There are only 54 low monthly payments left and the house will be mine in 2042. Have we settled in? For the exception of a few boxes of odds and ends we're moved in.

For as much as 'House' fans bemoaned longtime series star Lisa Edelstein's exit from the series, and exclusion from the FOX drama's final season, we've been equally glad to see the actress popping up all across the tube lately, from 'The Good Wife' to 'Elementary.'  The latest stop on Edelstein's rebound tour is a 'House' of a different sort, heading over to pay-cable for Showtime's 'House of Lies

Here is an interesting idea. Underwrite your mortgage and use your house as a billboard for advertising.
