The Lithgow Public Library in Augusta will be closed starting Monday, April 13, and will re-open at the Ballard Center (former Maine General) sometime in mid-May. How does this affect you? Lithgow Public Library will move to its new, temporary home next month. According to the KJ, it is so the expansion and renovation can start.

Award-winning novelist Bill Roorbach will be visiting the Lithgow Library in Augusta this fall as apart of a month-long series of events, part of the annual 'A Capital Read.' It's a community wide reading project encouraging all to take part in reading the book and taking part in the planned activities.

Augusta's Lithgow Public Library has an ongoing capital fundraising camping for renovating and expanding. They've released a video from their architects giving us a 3D look at what the new library will look like.

'A Capital Read' is back at Lithgow Public Library in Augusta. This time around the book is Amy Waldman’s acclaimed debut novel "The Submission", which explores the controversy and complex emotions surrounding a memorial for the victims of 9/11. Interesting!
