Just a couple weeks ago, Star Wars fans around the world celebrated Star Wars Day ("May the 4th be with you!").  But, there's another big Star Wars holiday this Thursday.

Are you seated, Star Wars fam? You need to be seated for what you’re about to see because — and there is no easy way to break this to you — something is up with Alden Ehrenreich’s ’70s-style hair in this new photo from the set of the young Han Solo movie. And that something is not necessarily a good something. In fact, he looks less like he’s playing the junior version of Harrison Ford’s iconic hero in Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s untitled Star Wars spinoff, and more like he’s playing…you know what? I’m going to give you a chance to back away now before I say something that royally screws up your Friday vibes.

I have interviewed a lot of actors and directors. When I tell people I interviewed someone famous, their first question is always the same: “Were they nice?” It’s usually hard to say; you don’t get much time with these filmmakers and they’re typically on their best behavior because they want you to write nice things about them. Interviewing a director is like being on a reality show: I’m not there to make friends.

Hold onto your winter hats, your lightsabers and your whips; Disney just announced the official release dates for 'Frozen 2,' 'Star Wars: Episode IX' and 'Indiana Jones 5.'

This past weekend, a seismic shift in box-office history took place and went largely unnoticed. The writing was on the wall for Star Wars’ legacy in the all-time top 10 highest-earning films, as noted on Reddit prior to the start of this past weekend. Box-office behemoth Beauty and the Beast continued to generate healthy grosses in its fifth weekend of release, ending the weekend with a princely (or should I say, princessly!) sum of $471.1 million. This gave the film a slight edge of the next-most-lucrative film on the list, which just so happened to be George Lucas’ original space opus. Star Wars and its lifetime gross of $461 million have now slid down to the #11 spot.

Walt Disney World and Disneyland already have a few Star Wars-based attractions, including the Star Wars Launch Bay, where you can interact with characters from the movies like BB-8, and Star Tours: The Adventure Continues, a simulator ride that brings guests on a journey at lightspeed through various corners of the galaxy far, far away. But that’s nothing compared to what’s coming: A full “Star Wars Land” coming to theme parks on both coasts, which will boast some of the most advanced theme-park technology to date.

Finally, the wait is over and the very first footage of Star Wars: The Last Jedi has arrived! If you haven’t already passed out or exploded into tiny specs of dust, congrats!

Star Wars Celebration kicked off in Orlando this afternoon with a giant panel to honor the upcoming 40th anniversary of the beloved franchise. The loss of Carrie Fisher last December left a stain of melancholy across not only the Star Wars fanbase, but all of Hollywood. To celebrate the brilliance, charisma and warmth Fisher gave us throughout her lengthy career, and the iconic status of General Leia Organa, LucasFilm paid tribute to the actress in a beautiful video.
