As we finally close, and deadbolt, the door on the pandemic, we are seeing the return of nearly every pre-pandemic event.  Yes, many events were back in person in 2021, but some organizations chose to heir on the side of caution.

According to the KJ, the Children's Discovery Museum, which hosts the events, has made the decision that the time is right for the event to return to Central Maine.

There will be some changes, though.

Instead of being held on Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving), this year's parade will be held on that Saturday.  And, the very popular parade will have a new route.  As it has in the past, the parade will begin at 6 PM, but instead of the parade traveling onto and down Main Street toward the Kennebec River, the parade will now start at the Winslow High School parking lot, down Benton Ave, and across the Ticonic Bridge.

Businesses and organizations are encouraged to enter floats and units into the parade.  All units must be decorated and the entry fee is $25.  They are suggesting people register early because they are limiting the number of entries to 30.  The deadline for entry is November 14th.

Kringleville will also return to Waterville this Holiday season.  For the last few years, visits with Santa had been conducted virtually.  This year, though, the visits with the Big Man will be back in person.
