This Adorable Mini Horse in Maine Needs Your Help

Did you ever want a pony or a horse when you were little? How cool would it of been if you woke up on your birthday or Christmas morning and sitting in the middle of your living room in a pile of hay and mini-poop is a mini-horse! That's a dream.

Yesterday was #givingtuesday and during the season of giving the Maine Society for the Protection of Animals needs your help!

How can you not be sympathetic to a mini-horse in need? As I read this article I just kept saying, "Aww". I mean come on.

According to the Maine Society for the Protection of Animals Facebook page, "Sweet Tator Tot was neglected for years--at one point confined to a large apple crate."

Tater now has substantial medical needs due to his unfortunate living circumstances.

So the organization is asking for your help! As of 15 hours ago $6,000 has been raised and only $4,000 is needed to reach their goal to care for this innocent animal.

In the meantime, after Tater arrived at the shelter he has had much improvement but he is just at the beginning of his journey to full recovery. The problem was mainly with his hooves and how they were not properly cared for.

They trimmed his hooves immediately after he arrived and he is on his road to recovery.

According to the shelter, Tater has been outfitted with comfortable boots in his paddock and will likely need other therapies and medications during his rehab.

Animals are important to all of us and #givingtuesday may only be one day as the shelter says, however, let's make it last longer so that Tater can get the help he needs to run free in the fields of Maine while all the other mini-horses look over and fawn over how handsome he is! Let me hear you say "Nay"
