This Circus Uses Holograms Instead Of Live Animals
According to Bored Panda, because of concerns about animal cruelty, a German circus has began using hologram animals (instead of live ones).
Since its inception in 1976, the Circus Roncalli has featured animal acts. Last year, however, they decided it was time to make a change. They still feature animals in their shows, but those animals are now high-tech holograms.
Eleven ZU850 projectors are used to fill the 1600 square foot arena with holographic animals. Pretty amazing, eh?
This could become a trend. Lawmakers in the UK have been pushing to eliminate live animals from traveling circuses by 2020.
