This Mobile Bookstore is the Coolest Thing to Hit Maine Since Lobster Rolls
Okay, so I know we've all browsed a good book store in our time, right?
We've also enjoyed a food truck from time to time. But let me ask you a very important question. Probably the most important you've ever been asked. Have you ever visited a book truck?
I know! A what?
Meet Gladys, the Lime-Green Bookmobile Bringing Joy to Midcoast Maine
A book truck! It’s a real thing, according to Mainebiz, thanks to the Gladys a vintage 1963 lime-green Ford Econoline! You may see her driving through the midcoast in Maine.
The truck? She goes by Gladys, but officially, it's the Kinetic Bookshop!
That’s right, this fabulous mobile bookstore is rolling out literary magic across the state of Maine.
Who’s driving? Jill Conner from Belmont! She's a 37 year old entrepreneur who dreamed about having a bookstore on wheels and that dream was made into a reality.
As per the article, she has loved books her entire life. She is a part time librarian and now, a first time entrepreneur.
Take a look at the Kinetic Book Shop on Instagram and you'll be able to truly understand how magical this is for all of us!
Her mission is to share the books in her truck, which she has meticulously collected and curated. And she’s doing this all to raise funds for local libraries who are facing budget cuts.
This Isn’t Just a Book Truck, It’s a Rolling Dream on a Mission
Jill says, “We’re hoping this can be an avenue to provide a little extra support for the libraries in Midcoast Maine."
How amazing is that?
