Today’s Weather Could Bring Up to 4″ of Rain & Flash Floods to Maine
As Hurricane Elsa moves through the region, the state of Maine will be in the direct path of all the heavy rains. According to WABI TV 5, the National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for parts of Maine.
There will also be winds associated with today's weather, too, with the strongest winds coming through in Washington county. Taking a look at the potential rainfall map from WABI, it looks like some of the highest rainfall totals will be right here in Central Maine, primarily Augusta at 3.06" of rain likely. The only place looking at potentially more rain is the Downeast town of Calais forecasted to receive 3.57" of rain.
Today will definitely be a good day to stay inside and watch some Netflix. Heck, dig those old board games out of the closet and sit the kids down for some Trouble or Battleship. Or, if you really want to kill some time and start a family fight, play some Monopoly.
