Travis Mills Foundation Purchases Maine Property for Combat-Wounded Veterans
The Travis Mills Foundation (TMF) has purchased the historic Maine Chance Lodge in Rome, previously owned by cosmetics pioneer Elizabeth Arden. They are looking for your support to transform this property into a fully accessible veterans family retreat!
Donations may be made directly through the Travis Mills Foundation website or through www.GoFundMe.com/TravisMills.
The property was the first spa in the United States and served the wellness needs of celebrities like Judy Garland, Ava Gardner and former First Lady Mamie Eisenhower.
With your support the TMF will completely rehabilitate this beautiful property into the nation's first fully accessible, "smart home" retreat, dedicated to serving the recreational and reintegration needs of combat-wounded veterans and their families.
The goal is to raise the $1.7 million required to complete the renovations of this incredible property, so that it may become a fully disability-accessible, year-round recreational and therapeutic retreat for veteran families. What a great gift to our nation's veterans.
The Travis Mills Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed to benefit and assist disabled veterans and their families.
