Vacation – No Plans, Just the Honey-Do List

It's vacation week for me. I want to first thank those who do my work while I'm out, Andy, Matt and Mac primarily and whoever else takes on extra, I thank them as well.  What am doing this week while I'm out?

I have to get a window looked after which is leaking. The window was just just put in a few months ago and now it's leaking water. Of course I see something that concerns me and turn it into my world is coming apart at the seams. It goes from needing a few cups on the windowsill to collect the drips to the whole house is going to get mildew and be structurally unsound. Regardless of the situation, I have to get the contractor to the house to look at it and get it done.

This too being weather related, over vacation I want to get everything in the basement on pallets or a few inches above the floor because if we flood in the spring I don't want to lose Christmas decorations and keepsakes.we've never flooded but I don't want to take the chance.

I also want to spend some quality time with Vikki without feeling the time crunch of having to go to work. Every morning I spend time with her but much of it isn't quality. This is also why I'm not taking vacation next week during school vacation. I love the boys but they would probably rather me be at work then at home. Just kidding but I'll see them every morning while they're off but I never get quality one-on-one time with my daughter and I want to have it just be that without the hurry.

Other than the above mentioned I want to organize and clean the house up a bit and over all just relax.

Not a glamorous vacation by any stretch but it will be a nice to hang out and not have to work for a week. It will also give me chance to do a bit of Valentine's Day shopping.
