According to the Kennebec Journal, another Central Maine business has made a massive donation to a community effort. Whether its been EJ Prescott, Charlie's Motor Mall, G&E Roofing or one of the other dozens of Maine businesses that have been giving back to their communities this year, it's all been in the name of 'doing good'.

The newly announced $100,000 cash donation from Waterville's Ware-Butler Building Supply is being given to help support the construction effort's of the Elm City's planned enclosed ice rink and recreational area at the Alfond Youth Center on North Street.

This newly announced donation brings the total raised for the project to a whopping $3 million. Officials hope that there will be a groundbreaking within the next year and a half or so.

Paul Boudreau is the Chairman of the steering committee for this behemoth project and said about the donation,

“Your gift is crucial to us both in terms of adding to the money in the race, but also as a signal to others in the community, to other business people in the community, that hey, you know, I should get on this train and be part of this,”
