What Happens When You Volunteer to Pack Meals On Wheels?
One of the things I have been doing, along with Merry St. Pierre who is an account executive at the radio station, is volunteering to pack the meals for Meals On Wheels for Spectrum Generations. We do this at the Cohen Center in Hallowell. I also have learned that because of donations and many other changes they are able to eliminate the current waitlist! AND the qualifications have been temporarily changed to allow more Mainers to be included in this time of COVID-19. Persons over 60 in Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc, Somerset, and Waldo counties or the towns of Brunswick and Harpswell can call 1-800-639-1553 weekdays between 8am and 4:30pm to speak with a Spectrum Generations staffer to get hooked up. I can tell you one thing for sure...these meals are packed with love. Check out what it looks like in my video below. If you would like to support this effort and help fund the Meals On Wheels program there is a link to do that. Want to volunteers?
