It's been the better part of a decade since the Dunkin' location on Bangor Street in Augusta moved across the street to the old Tim Hortons location.

Since then, the building that housed their old location has sat vacant.  According to New England Commercial Property, the building 1,700 square foot building sits on the corner of Bangor and School streets in Augusta.  The listed price is $350,000.

Here are some of our top 5 suggestions for what we'd like to see in that location:

1 - Chick Fil A - One of the most sought after chains in America, they're known for their chicken sandwiches.  Currently, the only Maine location is in Bangor.

2 - Popeyes Chicken - Founded in Arabi, Louisiana in 1972, they currently have 3,100 locations in the United States.  They have great sides and, last time I had their food, they still deep fried their pies.  The closest is at the Gardiner service plaza.

3 - Baskin-Robbins - Founded in California in 1945, they are known for their "thirty-wonderful flavors".  As the company's parent is Dunkin' Brands this would be a logical use for the building.

4 - Jimmy John's - The freaky-fast sandwich shop known for their philanthropy

5 - Sonic - The first of these drive-ins opened in Oklahoma in 1953.  The closest location is on Route 1 in Saugus, MA.  It has been pointed out to the author that this location might not be suitable for Sonic (because you need to have room for the car-hops), but we can all dream, right?
