Workshop on the Use of Tasers in School Setting…I Had Heard Nothing about This Unitl Now

I recently talked to a woman who has some concerns and questions about Tasers and their use in school. I had not heard of this, but it happens. I was reading about it and from I understand there is little in the way of tracking or reporting of their use on students. There seems to be little in the way of policies on their use as well. Well, Thursday (Dec 18th) there is a chance to learn more.

There will be an informational community forum the policies in regards to tasing in public schools. The event will be held at Christ Church Episcopal on the Gardiner Common at 7pm Thursday, December 18th at 7pm. Yes, they will have childcare if you need it. This is a change to hear a little more about the subject, learn how school policies are made, the duties of the school resource officer, the impact of the use of a Taser, state and local policies and what is done about tracking and reporting of these incidents.
