You May Not Want To Wait Too Long To Get Your Christmas Tree
There is nothing more magical than having a real Christmas Tree for the Holidays. The adventure you go on to get it (even if it is just bought from a lot), decorating the tree, the smell. It really does add something to your Christmas celebration.
If your family is a "real tree" family, you may not want to wait too long to get yours this year.
According to WABI TV, there is a good chance we could see a Christmas Tree shortage this year.
However, unlike nearly everything else we have seen (or not seen) a lack of, this one is not being caused by supply chain issues. This shortage is due to how we have changed our lives over the last two years. With everyone staying home for the Holidays last year, and a renewed interest on the family and traditions, people were buying real conifer trees like crazy last year. The same is expected this year.
So, what's the big deal? Well, it takes between 7 and 10 years to mature a Christmas tree. So, unless you want a Charlie Brown-style Christmas tree, you need to wait! Because of this, there are only so many real trees available each year.
Is it time to make the switch to an artificial tree? That comes with problems, too. As those are made in large plants around the world, it is possible we could see a shortage of artificial trees due to the current supply chain issues we have all been hearing about.
So, whether you want a real tree or an artificial tree, don't wait to buy them!
