Normally, when we purchase things through Amazon, we do it through the computer.  In fact, we have never had an Alexa device.  Well, we never had one until we got our Fire smart TV earlier this year.

The Alexa integration allows us to use the TV like an Echo or Echo Dot.  We can ask her to access Amazon Music, play certain shows on Prime, play 92 Moose, or look up information.

It also let's you do all of the goofy things you can do with an Echo.  She can tell jokes, sound a Star Trek "red alert", and more.

My daughters, Annie and Denise, are obsessed with Alexa.  They love making her do things.  And, since they are kind of gross (I thought girls were supposed to be made of sugar and spice and everything nice), they tried to make her fart this morning.  When she didn't do it, they authorized the purchase of a fart app.

When my wife checked her email this morning, she found this receipt:

Yes, in order to make Alexa fart you need to enable a fart skill.  And, apparently, some fart skills cost money.  Fortunately, the app costs less than two bucks.  I'd say that's worth it, would you?

Do you have an Alexa?  What kind of stuff do you make her do?  What kind of stuff do your kids make her do?  Let us know by sending us a message through our app.
