Fall/Winter 2016

I grew up in Lewiston-Auburn and I loved this time of year! One of my favorite reasons were the family trips to go apple picking. We actually bought the apples at the store at the orchards, but enjoyed the free samples of apple cider, donuts, etc.

Crazy, right!?  I am I guess what you would call ‘an adult’ and I went apple picking for the first time Sunday. However, this did not just happen out of the blue....there is a good story....

I have no problem admitting that I am horrible at buying gifts.  and, on top of that, I am a procrastinator.  I will wait until December 23rd to start my Christmas shopping.  Fortunately, most of the country is NOT like me.

Growing up in Maine, I think almost any kid would rake up a wicked pile of leaves and then run and jump into them. In fact, a friend of mine and his 4-year-old son did that for hours at my house last fall. As in Country Living, experts are saying that's not a good idea and here are the reasons why.

Over the weekend, I took the kids to Maine's Fort Knox.  It was always one of my favorite places to visit when i was a kid, so I was psyched to be able to share it with my kids.

Have you noticed that the leaves are just starting to turn colors? Before you know it, we will be at the height of fall foliage season in Maine and one fun and unique way to soak in the colors is on a ride with the Belfast and Moosehead Lake Railroad.

Tomorrow on the Moose Morning Show I'll go into much deeper detail as to how I was able to even get her to her shower without cluing her in whatsoever.

Considering there are fewer than 100,000 people in the State Of Maine who claim German heritage, we have a lot of Oktoberfests!  Here are some of the best:

September 1st, my opening day for pumpkin spice season. I FREAKIN' LOVE PUMPKIN SPICE!  I wish the pumpkin spice stuff was available all year long.

It's that time of year again... the time that I consider to be the unofficial end of summer- the Windsor Fair. We've been out to the fair everyday since it has opened (Sunday) and have had so much fun! Last night Evan and Keri got ride bracelets and tore up the midway...
