If you live along a river you know how easy your house can get flooded. I still hear stories about the Androscoggin River flood of 1987. Thankfully this time it wasn’t nearly as bad. More good news is that the river has crested and is falling back within its banks.

I live in Auburn and the Androscoggin River is easily accessible to me, so I thought I’d take a few pictures yesterday (April 16, 2014). When I say easily accessible I mean by foot as many of the roads along the river were closed due being covered in water.

These are some pictures I took of the overflowing Androscoggin River in Auburn, some were taken at lunch time and the darker ones were later in the day at about 8:30 pm.
