How was your weekend? Mine was busy! Saturday was spent grocery shopping which included a jaunt to Windham's Roosevelt Trail for summer clothes shopping and then Sunday we "Summerized" the backyard.

All but a few things are left to do before the backyard season can begin. We still have the rest of the patio furniture to put out and have to attach the netting and poles to the trampoline.

I can't believe how much garbage I picked up in the yard yesterday. Between milk jugs, plastic grocery store bags and random other trash, we filled two 13 gallon bags. The most frustrating part of all of it, nothing I picked up was originally ours.

The major thing this spring in the yard for us was redoing a fence we have. Winter took its toll on a garden fence or as I referred to it as, an accent fence. Not only does it separate the flowers and other planted stuff, the fence gives us a little privacy from traffic driving by the house.

The total cost of the fence project was $35. This included a new fence and post toppers. It took Lynn and I a couple of hours, but it is done now and spruces up the outside a lot. The question is, paint or not to paint?

What's on your project list for this spring?
