Today, the first Wednesday in April, is ‘National Reconciliation Day’. Sometimes I think about the people I've lost touch with because of a falling out. I’m not one to hold grudges and try to give people who hurt or tick me chances to get nice with me again obviously depending on the offense but for the most part life is too short for hate.

I was just talking and reminiscing a bit about who my friends were and what was going on when Milli Vanilli was popular. Looking back on that time I can think of three friends and a couple of acquaintances who have passed away from my high school.

There maybe more that I’m unaware of but, we’re all in our early 40s. These guys are much too young to have passed away. Whether it was health, auto accident, or something else that took them life can be taken quickly and you may not have the chance to reconcile with a friend or family member beforehand. I know this morbid and dark but it can be true especially if it is your father, mother or another person who is older.

I can happily say that from all I know, I have no real enemies today and have made up with all of the people that I know of I’ve possibly hurt or have hurt me in my life.

If you have it in you and it’s just a drifting stand off, make up with someone you care about. Email, phone call, Facebook message, text or communicate with them in some other way, chances are the other person is just as unsure about you but getting along is so much easier than awkward moments with those you either care about or once did.
