Attention my Maine Wookiees and balloon lovers, the 2025 LA Balloon Festival, presented by Emerson Toyota, has officially been announced.

Make sure to tell Alexa to add in a reminder for August 15–17 at Lewiston’s Simard-Payne Park.

The balloon festival in the twin cities is a historic event that thousands attend and this years theme is “Rise of the Balloon” inspired by Star Wars.

The journey to the skies will feature towering character balloons. You can also expect the classics, of course, with dozens of traditional hot air balloons taking flight at sunrise and sunset each day of the weekend.

What else to expect at the L/A Balloon Festival?

Beyond that, according to the announcement, you will experience all of what the festival has to offer with carnival rides, live music at the main stage, the most scrumptious food from local vendors and all of the crafts at the vendor fair.

The official event schedule will be found here.

Speaking of scrumptious, Motor Booty Affair will grace the stage again this year on Saturday night, because nothing says galactic revolution like disco.

Admission to the festival is FREE, thanks to the generous support of sponsors!

Whether you’re a Star Wars lover, or just looking for a fun weekend with the family, the Lewiston-Auburn Balloon Festival offers something for everyone.
