According to CentralMaine.com, four people were arrested on drug-related charges and five children were removed from a home on Vassalboro Road in China after police executed a warrant at the home on the morning of Sept. 27.

The report said police arrested Justin A. Lugo, 22, of New York, Trisha N. Scott, 31, of China and Patrick J. Parsons, 34, of China. A 17-year-old girl was also arrested, and police have not released her name.

According to the story, all four arrested are facing charges of  aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and receiving stolen property. Lugo is also facing additional charges of being a fugitive from justice and possession of a firearm because he left New York in violation of his parole there.

The story said police seized crack cocaine, another unidentified powdered substance, close to $3,000 in cash and four guns, two of which had been stolen.

Police said the children removed from the home, which was littered with bottles of urine and dog feces, ranged from 4-13 years old.They are in the care of the state Department of Health and Human Services.

Scott and Parsons are being held at Kennebec County Jail with a bail set at $50,000. Lugo's bail was set at $75,000, but due to his outstanding warrants in New York, he cannot be released on bail.
