A 4-Year-Old Maine Boy Has Died, Twin Sister Hospitalized in A Wednesday Morning Fire
According to WABI TV 5, a 4-year-old boy has been killed and several others, including his twin sister, were injured in a Wednesday morning fire that tore through an apartment building in Houlton.
Crews responded to a fire that had broken out in a 14-unit apartment complex on Mechanic Street in Houlton, Maine at around 9:15 Wednesday morning. As of 1 PM firefighters from multiple departments were working to extinguish the blaze.
One child, 4, has been confirmed killed in the fire while at least three other people, his twin sister included, have been taken to the hospital. A 12-year-old was LifeFlighted from the scene to Maine Medical Center in Portland, WABI reports.
Maine Department of Safety Spokeswoman, Shannon Moss, says that the 2 four-year-olds and the 12-year-old were home alone at the time of the fire.
