This morning, police responded to threats against Doughty School and Bangor High School with the possibility of an active shooter on campus. Around 8 a.m.,  students and teachers were ushered into their classrooms, fortunately when police arrived, there were no signs of a shooter on site. According to NewsCenterMaine.com Bangor Police Sgt. Wade Betters said authorities had "no reason to believe there was an ongoing or imminent threat at [Bangor Public Schools]" and described the threat as "anonymous".

We want to take this time to thank our first responders who took immediate action to make sure the students and faculty were safe.
